Our Founder

Mrs. Beulah or Mrs. B as she was affectionately known, was an artist, florist, restauranteur, home builder, visionary and the founder of the Ruston Community Men's Shed. Inspired by the Men's Shed movement when it expanded from Australia to England, Beulah wanted to bring the opportunities created by such a community centered operation to her home of Ruston, Louisiana. In her own words, "The hill I climbed to open a Shed was steep and hard."
